
Talking about Michael Jackson (RIP) I've always heard he had VITILIGO and that's why his skin was unusually white - he probably has opted to the 3rd. treatment option (see below). VITILIGO is a relatively common skin disorder - it causes depigmentation of the skin in sections. The cause is not clear and the treatment targets to make the skin's appearance uniform: 1. make-up/cover it up 2. Medication combined to Phototherapy with specific UV rays 3. Total depigmentation of the skin -- VITILIGO is not contagious and is probably related to intrinsic causes, such as autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
